Welcome
to CCAH

Christian Church of Arlington Heights is Disciples of Christ Congregation.

Our Commitments

We are a community committed to following Jesus, and to being disciples of Christ.

At the heart of that commitment is an effort to live into the two great commandments, to love our God and to love our neighbor. Through shared worship and individual prayer, through Bible study and discussion, through care of one another, and through service to our community, we seek to grow in our ability to love well as we follow Jesus.

Of course, there are many ways to follow Jesus, and our congregation is made up of people with a variety of gifts, passions, and ideas. We don't always agree with each other, and we like that about ourselves. Our different ways of thinking and of doing things give us the opportunity to learn from each other. We value the freedom to decide for ourselves how we will practice our faith and we value the opportunity to do that in a community that can support, challenge, and hold us accountable.

Officially, the Christian Church of Arlington Heights is a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  Disciples are non-creedal, meaning that we don't have long doctrines that everyone has to agree to. We are united instead by a single affirmation, one made in faith, declaring Jesus to be Lord and Savior of the world, and by our shared efforts to live into that declaration as disciples of Christ.

Our Staff

Paster Allie sermon

Pastor Rev. Allie Lundblad Allie has served as the pastor of the Christian Church of Arlington Heights since fall of 2016 and is ordained within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is a 2015 MDiv graduate of the University of Chicago Divinity School and completed her undergraduate degree in religion at Oberlin College in Ohio. She has also served, through the Clinical Pastoral Education program, as a chaplain at Advocate Christ Hospital and then Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Allie cares a great deal about finding ways to live out the Christian faith that are not only life-giving and meaningful but also shape us into people who can love well and work toward justice. Some of her favorite things about being the pastor at CCAH are that she consistently receives theological challenges and book recommendations from her congregation and that, every once in a while, her job includes playing with foster kittens.
