Nursery?
There is nursery care for toddlers and infants during our Sunday School hour as well as during the worship service.
Preschool- Elementary- High School
Our Sunday School will be exploring the following themes as appropriate for their age group. Teachers and curriculum through activities and crafts make these themes come alive for the children.
March 10th -
From Mark 11:1-11 Jesus rides into Jerusalem.
The crowd laid their coats on the road and shouted cheers to honor Jesus. We honor Jesus by what we say and do.
March 17th - From Mark 12: 28-40 Jesus and the Scribes
Jesus agreed with the scribes who said, “love of God and neighbor are the greatest commandments”. What can we do to show our love for our neighbors?
March 24th - From Mark 14: 32-15:47 Journey to the cross
Simon of Cyrene carried Jesus’ cross when He got too weary. Children are asked to find someone they can help. We thank Jesus for his love and courage.
March 31st - From Mark 16:1-8 An Empty Tomb (Easter Sunday) The women came to the tomb to anoint Jesus and found the stone rolled away. The women were extremely surprised. Children might be asked about big surprises in their life. A closing prayer for this week might be, “Surprise us with new joy, God. Brin new life to us.” Amen
A parent’s group meets each Sunday in the church library to discuss these themes or other topics with Rev. Crowl. There are Take Home sheets on the Sign Up tables for anyone in the congregation who is in the church school curriculum. Questions? Ask Helene Kettelhut
